Dancing with the Stars

Did I ever mention that Andy and I are taking ballroom dancing lessons through Read Park? I haven't posted pictures of us, yet, because Andy's too reticent. Personally, I think he doesn't want to see proof that he has two left feet! (hee hee!) Actually, he's quite a decent dancer. Our biggest difficulty is that he's a foot taller than me.

So far, we have learned the Swing (my favorite) and the Waltz. Tonight is our first lesson with the Foxtrot. Yippee! I think the Foxtrot will really be a work-out. If I remember correctly from watching Dancing with the Stars, the Foxtrot has a lot of skipping and running steps. I am NOT a runner by any stretch of the imagination!

I couldn't get Andy to consent to a photo shoot, so Peter stood in for his daddy. I think he'll be a decent dancer, someday! Oh my, won't the ladies fall for him then!

When my parents were here, I tried to teach them the basic swing step. Dad picked it up very quickly. Mom was pretty wary of trying (claiming that she's not coordinated), but she got the step down just fine!

HOW FUN!!! I am not sure if Matt would ever take lessons like that with me.... ... :) What made you decide to learn? Just something fun to do together? You go, girl! Have fun with the Foxtrot. I don't know how to dance at all... so you're about 10 steps ahead of me. hee hee.

Wow. I am impressed. :) Can't imagine Andy as a dancer. Chris and I have talked about taking lessons for forever. Where did you find them? We must see pictures!

Hey Twinkle toes! I think it's AWESOME that you and Andy are taking dancing lessons. I was waiting to hear how those were going. What a great way to burn off a few calories and spend nice time together.
