Strawberry Tarts Top
This is a cute summer top perfect for hot weather. Best yet it can worn over a long sleeved blouse or tee to extend the summer fun!
The straps are adjustable, so it can be worn either as a little girl's summer frock, or a bigger girl's top.
You can see this and a few other items on my etsy page here if you're interested!

Handspun Organic Alpaca Yarn
My parents have a wonderful little place in the mountains called Kuwili Windmill Alpaca Farm (which translates to "The Dancing Windmill").
My Mum has some absolutely luscious handspun yarn available for sale, which I told her I'd list in my Etsy Shop for her. There are several Cafe Latte skeins of yarn from Alice in a sport weight yarn (click here),
as well as some extra-high quality yarn from Einstein, also hand spun into a sport weight (click here).
I can firmly attest that this would make an awesome gift for a knitter or crocheter, and you'd only need one skein to make a scarf (each skein is about 190 grams). Alpaca isn't like wool, which can often be scratchy. Rather, alpaca yarn is light and airy but wonderfully soft.
Sighhhh, I have a skein sitting on my dresser, and every time I pass it I have to stop and pet it.
For that matter, just buy a skein for anyone knitter or non-knitter and they can use it as an all-natural stress reducer. Just think of the money you'd be saving on therapy!

Blue Glass and Silver
This lovely necklace is just the thing to complete an outfit.
The necklace is about 15" long, and is constructed of heavy-duty fastenings so that it won't break apart as easily as regular store-bought necklaces.

The earrings have attached hoops, but if they're too big for your fancy, let me know and I'll just add the bead to make the earrings smaller.

Hand-dyed Yarn
This is hand dyed yarn from my own children's sweatshop in the Frigid North.
Dyed with all the fervor of a toddler's artistic expression, it has a lovely sheen of pale blue/green and aqua that can self-stripe, depending on the width of the project.
The alpaca fiber in the yarn is unbelievably soft, and the merino adds that bit of sturdiness needed to make a long-wearing set of socks. Best yet, it can be machine washed in cold water (although I'd recommend letting them air-dry).
This would make an excellent gift for that knitter/crocheter in your life.
Or better yet, buy it for yourself and you could consider it $18 worth of personal therapy that can last for years.
Click here to visit my Etsy shop, and keep checking back, as I'll have more things listed within the next few days!

Hobo Bag
With Christmas right around the corner, I'm going to try to get more things listed in my Etsy shop in time for Christmas sales.
This is a Hobo bag that I made awhile ago but never got around to selling. I made two, one of which I've kept for myself, and purse-anally (sorry about the pun *evil grin*), I love it. I tend to dress in monotones or solid colors (is that redundant?), so it's nice to add a pop of color with a bag that seems to match everything.
Corduroy has such a wonderful texture, and this particular corduroy is thick and lusciously soft, as well as being nice and sturdy.
The inside is lined with a lovely soft muslin, and the entire thing is machine washable. I've had my bag for a year now, and it still looks almost new. (I say "almost", because the full cup of Starbucks coffee that spilled in my purse never did wash completely out. Thankfully it didn't stain the outside. What a waste of Starbucks; too bad I couldn't turn my purse into an IV drip bag, ha ha!)
If you're interested in this bag or other things that I have for sale, click here to check out my Etsy site. Keep checking back, because I'll be listing more things within the next few days!
Special thanks to my friend Tania for being willing to model for me. It's a good friend that will allow you to take photographs of her backside!

Mother's Day Gift Idea
~ WARNING: BLATANT SELF-PROMOTION AHEAD ~
I haven't had a chance to post this in my Etsy shop yet, but I thought I'd blog it here first in case someone is interested in purchasing it before I manage to get my act together. This is a handmade flounced apron sewn from Debbie Mum fabric in a size medium, although it's really made to fit all sizes because it ties around the neck and in the back. I think I'd like $20 for it, so if you're interested please contact me.
I've also added a pocket on the front, because I like to talk on the phone when I'm cleaning, and it's nice to have a pocket to plunk your cell phone in. (When my Mum and I talk it's like being in Tin Pan Alley, what with all the clanking dishes and clattering pans from both ends of the phone lines!)
My Etsy shop does have a few nice little baubles in it right now, so that's another great place to get a handmade gift for your special Mum! I always try to wrap purchases prettily anyway, but if you'd like me to add a note as well just be sure to let me know!

Bling!
I finally got the chains and stuff that I needed to finish up some more hand made jewelry sets, so now I can update the shop (click here) in time for Christmas (barely). I'll post the photos for everything here, but it might take me a wee bit longer to get the stuff up on Etsy. If you see something you want but it isn't in the shop yet, leave me a comment and I'll get back with you.
(There's also more stuff in there than just jewelry, so feel free to check it out and browse around!)
These jewelry sets make fabulous Christmas presents, and I don't mind gift wrapping if you'd like! If you wait till last minute to purchase, I can ship faster, but it'll cost a bit extra. The prices for everything listed below includes free shipping and handling.
~ Hibiscus Necklace with Pink Glass Beads ($22)

~ Black Silver Wrapped Beads and Earrings ($18)

~ Glass Silver Wrapped Beads and Earrings ($22)

~ Brown Ceramic Beads and Earrings ($18)

~ Ice Pink Glass Bead Necklace and Earrings ($18)

~ Stone Turquose Dyed Necklace and Hammered Silver Earrings ($18)

~ Black Silver Wrapped Beads and Earrings ($18)

Please note that all my jewelry is my own design, and I guarantee all my items. I try to make them as durable as possible, so unlike most store sets, these should not break under normal circumstances.

Updating the Shop
It's been awhile since I've put anything new in my Etsy Shop, so I figured that since I've managed to get a few extra crafts done, I might as well put them up for sale.
There is more detailed information and photos available in the shop (link provided above), but feel free to let me know if you're interested in anything!

Restocking
Our van has been in the shop the last few days, and I've discovered that when I don't go anywhere, I have more free time. (What can I say; my deductive skillz are positively Sherlockian.) I suspect that the amount of time saved from removing/buckling three wiggling children from car seats adds up to a tidy amount.
This afternoon I plinkered around a bit and put together some more bling for the shop, so I figured I'd post some pictures here as well.

~ Blue and Green Ceramic Beads Necklace and Earring Set

~ Blue and Green Ceramic Beads Stitch Markers (set of 8)
