Frozen Needles

Now that I have complained about the cold, let me show you what this cold weather has inspired! Knitting galore!

Here is (finally) a picture of me wearing my Rohan Cardigan. Kerissa took the picture, and chopped off my head on purpose! Too bad she can't erase those fat rolls, too!

Here is a picture of my nephew Caleb's Crayola Socks. His birthday is in March, so I had to hurry and get them done. Now I must resist the temptation to wear them!

I designed some mittens for my son, Peter. He already has a coronet hat, and I wanted mittens to semi-match them. He had a pair of gloves, but putting gloves on a wiggling 3-year old would try the patience of a saint. I'm very happy with the way these turned out. They fit well, seem warm, and are sturdy. (Sturdiness is a MUST for little boys). The pattern is uni-sex, too, so I can make some for Breanna when she gets older. If you'd like a copy of the pattern, I'll post it on my sidebar.

The cardigan turned out fabulously! The socks are so great too, and those mittens are just adorable, I love the cuff! The cold weather inspires me to knit too,as well you know from my blog! Thanks for your sweet comments, I think you've had a part in inspiring me to cable more.I think that SWS will make awesome knitted clogs-infact my Sis took me to a yarn store out of town about a month ago and she found a pattern there for some clogs she wants me to knit her!

Rohan is beautiful! Congratulations!
Cute mitten idea. Small children and gloves are not a good idea. The mittens will keep his fingers warmer, too! Although I am told that it makes it harder to make a good snowball.
