Other Projects on the Needles

I finally got another Joann's flyer in the mail, so I was able to use the 40% off coupon for more yarn so I could finish the lime green socks. I'm using Lion Brand's Microfiber yarn, and although it's not that expensive ($2.79), I have a gene that doesn't allow me to buy something full price when I know that a coupon is coming in the mail. I really thought I'd have these done in March, but since I ran out of yarn I have been able to complete them. Now I can!

(Sorry about the smudgy photos. I think there was something on the camera lens).

I have sooooo enjoyed knitting for the ISE4. Seeing everyone's beautiful scarves has given me a much broader appreciation for this accessory. I crocheted long before I knit, so I just assumed all scarves looked pretty much the same - wow was I wrong! If you like knitting scarves, or are just curious, hop on over via the link and take a look at some of the glorious works in progress! There's also a ton of free patterns on the sidebar, so get some paper in your printers!

Anyway, I've started the Tiger's Eyes scarf for a Christmas present. I think it's a really cool design, and I can't wait to see how much nicer it will look when blocked. (Oh, how I shudder when I think the word "blocked". My latest blocking fiasco has taught me to be more careful!)

Can you see the eyes staring at you?

Isn't it amazing how "make a scarf" can produce so many different scarves in so many different patterns and styles? Yours is very pretty.

The scarf really looks great, although that lace pattern will always look more like "owl eyes" than tiger eyes to me.
