I don't usually have to teach on Fridays, so I look forward to this day all week as a chance to relax, knit, and get caught up on housework. Today Peter's friend Gracie came over for a few hours to play with him. Although it was much colder earlier this week (we got almost 12 inches of snow/water precipitation!), it warmed up enough today that the kids could play outside for a bit.

Breanna had fun for a little while, but soon got tired and very, very dirty. Since the temperature has been warming today, the ground has started to thaw and the mud is just awful.

Thankfully the plants will thaw out, too. Andy had to bring some of our water irises in from the little pond because they were not very happy outside . . . .

Yikes, is that iris going to make it?
Hope the mud dries up soon.
I am so glad I live in Greenville! Although I miss those grandbabies...
