I have a friend from MOPS (Mothers Of Preschoolers) who had this rug, and she asked me to fix it for her. It was hand-crocheted for her when she was married, and I think it's almost 15 years old. Needless to say, it's had some hard wear-and-tear on it!
Well, it was just so pretty I had to take a picture of the rug before I give it back to her tomorrow. I've never crocheted a rag rug before, but this one is so nice I might just try making one for myself someday!
Aren't home-made gifts special? I have a few hand made items from dear friends and family, and I so cherish them. As I worked on this rug, I imagined all the love that went into such a beautiful work of art.

I love homemade things and so does my sister in law. Unfortunately, no one else in the family seems to appreciate them as much as the two of us.
Got to love those homemade goodies. Mike decided to save the package for his bday. We may open it when his parents come in next week. Can't wait to see what's inside. Glad it made it here! :)
You have to check out the slide show and song that I picked to go with it on myspace. I just thinks it funny for some reason. I like the song. It's quirky like the two of us! :) YOu can click over from my blog.
Love, Angie
