In the Meantime

Hopefully right now I'm being a complete slob and enjoying myself thoroughly on the wonderful island of Saba. However, since I'm writing this post ahead of time, I can't be sure. I could be frantically swimming away from a horde of genetically enhanced meat eating jellyfish - who knows?

To keep you entertained while I'm away, I have pre-written a few blog posts as I'm not sure how good the internet is on Saba.
This is a scarf I knit for - - - - - - for a Christmas present. I got the yarn 50% off at our LYS (as well as a few more skeins of more scarf yarn *cough cough*). It's knit on size 11 needles and is a simple garter stitch, so this thing whipped itself up pretty quickly.
I saved a few yards of the yarn, because my plan is to knit up some cream mittens and edge them with this blue stuff so the mittens and scarf make a matching pair. I can't wait! I love knitting mittens. SO much better than knitting gloves. . . .Ah, what lovely squishyness and color. Like I said, it's almost instant gratification, at least as far as knitting goes.

Meanwhile, I am desperately missing these two little squirts . . .

The scarf even LOOKS squishy in the pics! It's a gorgeous color. How smart of you to blog ahead -- what a dedicated blogger you are! ;) I am so with you on the mittens vs. gloves position... mittens are the best!

Based on your fbook status I'd say you're enjoying yourself. :)

That's a great idea, to use some of the fluff to edge mittens. Hmmm.

Hope you're having fun and *not* seeing jelly fish. Ick! How did your imagination come up with that one?! --Syl

What kind of yarn is that? I simply must have some! ;0)
