Dear Fair Isle Pullover,
There isn't really any nice way to put this, so I'm going to be honest with you; I just don't have the same level of passion for you that I once had. I know that sounds cruel. It's not that there's anything wrong with you, it's me. I am so ashamed to admit that I cannot be faithful to one project at a time. It's just not who I am. I am quickly bored, and as soon as a good looking skein of yarn catches my eye, I'm off flinging another loop around my needles.
Please don't take this the wrong way. I still have a special place for you in my heart. You were, after all, my "first" pullover with that seductive technique called Fair Isle. The interweaving dance of colors throughout your body kept me entranced for far longer than I had dreamed, and the way your bobbles danced along the sleeve fascinated my imagination.
No, dear Fair Isle Pullover, I haven't entirely lost my love for you. I just think that for a little while at least we should be apart; see other projects; try new techniques. Who knows, once that Autumnal nip is in the air, perhaps it will awaken a renewed sense of intimacy with all things warm and sweaterish?

You crack me up.
Was this a sweather for you or one of the kids? I can't quite tell by looking at the beautiful snippets in the photos you shared....
I can't wait to see the final product -- WHEN you finish!! :)
LOL -- and I thought I was the only fickle one! Enjoyed your post.
Too cute. It really looks nice. I'd love a square of that for a pillow or something. It's cute. :)
