The 16
th was my dad's
birthday, so after church we met up with some of the family at
Wailana Coffee Shop.
Ella was a little fussy, but Great
Grandma knew exactly what to do.
I got my dad a guava cake. Oh my
goodness, that is the
best cake
I have ever eaten! Fluffy white cake topped with guava sauce . . .
it's like happiness and joy slathered with warm feelings.
From
there we went to Ala Moana Beach. Unlike Bellows Beach which has
rough surf, Ala Moana has very calm waves, perfect for kids to swim
in.
After
we left Bellows we went on a boat tour of Pearl Harbor and got a
quick nighttime view of the Arizona Memorial. It was very chilly and
rainy, but definitely a fun experience!
