Just a Regular Day

I thought I'd post some pictures of everyday happenings around here.

Breakfast is a favorite time of day for us. Peter would eat cereal 24/7, if I let him. His current favorite is "Crunchy" (i.e. Cinnamon Toast Crunch). I think he inherited the cereal gene from his Uncle Josh Leverton. Breanna, of course, will eat anything that holds still long enough . . . .

I was so happy to get the floors mopped today. They were in dire need of a waxing. When the weather is bad outside, people track snow and salt slush onto my nice hardwood floors, causing me considerable distress. Well, Wednesday is my "Mop the floors" day. It's nice to get one of my main chores done already.

Peter had some hot chocolate this morning, and got some all over his nose. I thought he looked rather cute. Of course, I'm partial to anything with chocolate!

First thing this morning, even before breakfast, Peter and I had to play trains together. Gammy and Bompey (Grandma and Grandpa) were nice enough to get Peter a train set for Christmas, and he plays with it CONSTANTLY. I've tried getting him interested in other toys, but so far it hasn't worked. Oh well, at least he is getting a lot of "mileage" off of his trains!

Yesterday Mark Schepple came to tune my piano. It was desperately out of tune, and I just couldn't stand it anymore. Now it sounds beautiful again! I just love my piano.

Peter and I have started doing "school" together, too. So far we've only gotten to the letter A. He already knows his colors and shapes, so I figured it's time for something harder. He's very good at spotting the letters, but the concept of "ah, ah, ah", seems to have eluded him, so far. He likes to say, "A says ah, ah, ah, like Ball!" Oh well, he'll get it eventually. I plan to start doing the letter B this week.

That jumper pattern starts at 18 mos,(my little one is 17 mos.)it has sizing up to 4 yrs. Looks like you're having a good day! My boys(now 8 & 9 yrs old) would never sit still long enough to listen to me to learn their letters from me. They just wanted to beat each other up, and still do!hahaha!

The kids are so cute! Sounds like a great day all in all :o)

Hmm...we have the same template, but I see you can get your pictures with text to the sides of them. For some reason mine isn't doing that, even though that is the way I set it up...odd (unless it is just showing up that way on my computer, just like the sidebar shows up way at the bottom on mine, but everyone else apparently sees it fine).

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kI9GtJLztec Here's one that was on the facebook group... They said on there that he tried out in Memphis but didn't make it, so he tried again in Alabama. Seems weird to me since the judges didn't act like they had ever seen him before and he doesn't look like someone you would forget! :)

Loved the pics. Had to laugh, too, because Breanna and Lilli seem like they are A LOT alike. :)
