Knitting Updates

Well, as I haven't posted about some of my knitting projects lately, I figured I might as well get caught up. Plus, I need some fashion advice (so if any of you family members read the title and think, "Oh, knitting; I'll just skip this . . . ", please read on. Unless, of course, you don't have any fashion sense, in which case, please feel free to skip . . . .)

First up on the fashion runway is the Forest Green Cardigan I'm knitting. It's a bit of a self-design, and I'm stuck. I've knitted the fronts and most of the back, but I need to start the sleeves soon. Here's my dilemma: I want to knit the sleeves in moss stitch, and have a cable running up the back of the sleeve. Which cable should I choose? (Sorry the photos aren't clearer. I don't think the sun ever shines in Illinois)?

I've finished my first sock out of the Sockotta yarn, and have started the second. I want to get it done quickly, because I'd like to knit a pair of socks for my nephew, Caleb.

I think after working on so many sweaters, I'm going to go on a sock binge for a bit. They're a much faster project!

Here are the socks I knitted for my husband, Andy, at Christmas. It will be a long time before I ever knit him socks again. You have to understand that my hubby is very tall (6 foot 2 inches), and has correspondingly large feet. I kept checking the length of the sock, thinking to myself, "Surely it can't be too much longer till I've reached the toe . . . ."

Rachel, you cable so beautifully!!I'm really not any help with this choice, I don't knit sweaters much. I love your socks, definitely a much quicker knit. It's not that I don't like to do an occasional sweater or afghan, but I get bored...then I see a new pattern I want to try...a beautiful new yarn...you know the drill.
