Catching Up . . . .

Well, the grandparents are gone (boo-hoo!). We had such a lovely time, even though the trip was a rather short one. We didn't really do a lot, because the weather was so cold, but it was nice to just chill out around the house. Dad was so happy to whittle down his 1,000+ emails down to a mere 500!

I thought I'd have to teach a lot today, and was rather dreading the extra hours of work, but thankfully several of my students cancelled. Of course, as they cancelled due to sickness, perhaps I shouldn't be quite so thankful! However, it was so nice to be able to get more done around the house and catch up on the laundry and vacuuming. I was even able to take Peter and Breanna to the McDonald's playplace for an hour!

I finally finished knitting Angie's other sock. I have to say, these are the most comfy socks I've knitted thus far. If it weren't for the fact that I knitted them specifically for her tiny feet, I'd keep 'em for myself! Alas, my size 8's won't fit comfortably, so sis will get her socks. Keep an eye on the postman, Ange, you've got a package coming!

Angie's socks looks so cute and cozy. Nice! It's amazing what one can do if there is down time from work. Now if there is only a way to not work and still pay the bills.

Nice socks ! I like the color too. I just hope my first pair turns out just as great. Alas I haven't found time for knitting the last couple of days. Also I want to thank you for the info you gave me on socks, it was a great help. By the way, no comment is ever too long :)

I left you a comment on Sock a Month as well--how can I get this pattern? I'd love to try knitting socks, but I'm intimidated by the skinny needles. Size 4 sounds better to me!
