March Socks

I started these socks for the Sock a Month KAL, but I don't think I'll get them done for March. I've done pretty well keeping up so far, knitting a sock a month, but I've run out of yarn for this pair and I don't think I'll be able to get my hands on the second skein until after March. The pattern is from a past Interweave Knits issue, and I used Lion Brand's Micro yarn, which I really like. It's wonderfully soft and machine washable - a MUST for socks. However, it's a bit pricey for me, so I like to purchase it at Joann's with the 40% off coupon. I hope the next Joann's flyer comes soon so I can finish these socks!

I LOVE these socks. They are so pretty. And I will definitely have to give that LB Micro yarn a try. Thanks for the tip!

The socks are so pretty - nice colourway too! Such a shame that you ran out of it. How does the microfiber wear as socks? Does it last well or wear out quickly?

I really like your green socks. Oh, and to answer your questions - my sock pattern is a pattern for Sock Madness memebers only, and the Hourglass sweater is from the book Last Minute Knitted Gifts.

Your socks are so springy! I love the pattern. Do you remember the name of the pattern? I used LB Micro for my first sweater. Miles of stockinette on #4 needles. Oy. It's a wonder I still knit. I do love the yarn though!

Hey Rach,

Man...it's been a while since I've visted your blog. Wow...sorry. You've been a busy beaver!!! Too bad you ran out of yarn. What a bummer. When I see these socks, I think of my favorite icecream..mint chocolate chip. Yummy socks. :) I will be checking out the rest of your posts...Angie
