My brother-in-law Mike is having a birthday next month, so I sent him a package with this mug inside. Since I won't be seeing this mug again for awhile, I thought I'd give it a proper send-off via blog post.
You see, when I was in college I took a pottery class for extra credit (hey, I had a scholarship, so why not?) and I made a few things, this mug being one of them. Because I like dislike order and prefer chaos (to some extent) I made every mug different. (Not to mention that I wasn't a proficient enough potter to make two mugs alike anyway!) "So, dear mug, I send you with fond wishes of success to another coffee drinking person."
I also put in the package my special homemade gingerbread chocolate cocoa mix. Unfortunately, I can't share the recipe with ya'll because it was passed to me from Heidi, and it truly is a secret. I have been given explicit instructions NOT to blab. Difficult though it is, I will do my best to keep this secret.
Cruel, you say? Well, drop by any time for a cup of cocoa and we'll chat and knit. How's that sound?

The cocoa mix sounds really yummy! The chili in the cocoa does sound a bit weird. I tried a curry chocolate bar once...yuk! Gingerbread, now that's another story!
Yeah...Mike gets the mug, but guess who'll be using it most of the time....me~ :) Ha! I think this mug is the perfect size for his silly coffee maker with the specific pods that only Target sells and no one else! Ha! He is the world's most PICKY man sometimes....I guess I should feel very special, because somehow he picked me! :) Ha! I can't wait to open the package and I pray it did not break during shipping all the way down here! Love, Angie
