Okay, I usually don't use my blog to rant, but I haven't had my morning cup of coffee yet, and I'm in a tetchy mood.
Why must bloggers have word verification on their comments? WHY! I always like to leave comments when I'm reading someone's blog (it's only polite, you know), even if it's just a "have a nice day!" note. However, it is VERY annoying to have to enter a word verification every time. How am I, sans coffee, supposed to be able to retype:
q9843nadf 0o9dfua asdf h sofiajsd;foiaueu
just to enter a comment?
There are at least 15 blogs I check every morning, and having to type in illegible word verifications for all 15 drive me batty. AAAAAAARG!
If you have no idea what I'm talking about, just check your "settings" application for your blog, and turn off the word verification. I suppose it's there for people who get spam through their blog, but as I've never actually heard of that happening to anyone, it's an unnecessary pain for the poor readers.
(Okay, I'm properly ashamed of my rant now, so I'll go get my coffee and knit for awhile to calm my shattered nerves . . .)

Okay, I'll be the first to say - "huh?" I had NO idea my blog had this,... did it?? I think I just turned what you were talking about off, but for all I know, I might have just turned it on. ... .... .... Sorry. Will you let me know if I fixed it? Thanks.
I did get some spam on my blog, which is why I turned it on. I don't like having to do it on other's blogs, but I did get a whole bunch of junk comments (and therefore emails, too) on one of my posts. As my home and work computers are the same I turned on the spam filter. I'll be moving my blog within a week or so, and the new place may work out better.
I had to turn mine on because I was getting annoying spam comments. Sorry!
I totally feel your pain, but I was getting hit with spam, which is why I have comment verification now.
I know what you mean!! I hate entering that gobbledygook. :)
