Disc Golfing

There's a nice park near our house that has a great 18-hole disc golf course. For those of you who have never played disc golf, it's played much the same as regular golf, except with discs (i.e. glorified frisbees). Usually I do terribly, but this time I played really well! My hubby is a great disc golf player, and absolutely destroys me, but this time I got to have a handicap. He's so good, he and the other brothers (they play each other often) base par as 3 on every hole. I, however, got to use the regular par set by the park system. I got 0 points!!! Woo hoo! Usually I'm 8 over!

Our park also has a lovely carousel and playground. Andy and I get to duke it out playing disc golf, and the kids get to burn off some energy at the playground. Everyone's happy!

What fun!!! Way to go, Rachel! The park looks really neat - wish we had something along those lines somewhat close to where we live! Glad you got to get some time out with the family! :)

Yep, that's the fun park I was talking about....sooo fun. Can't wait to go there. It looks like a blast. Caleb will love it, too. He LOVES playgrounds.
