I forgot to mention that I found my "Houdini" Hunny Bunny again. She got out of her hutch early in the morning, and I found her later that evening. Peter and I walked around the block yelling "Huuuuunnny Buuunny" (me feeling quite foolish), and sure enough, out she hops from a bush, looking as fat and placid as could be. She's very tame, so she didn't even try to run away from me (or perhaps she was just too full from all the grass she must have eaten.)Crazy rabbit. Her hutch is located in the back yard, only 10 feet from my vegetable garden which is LOADED with yummyness for rabbits. Does she stay in the fenced back yard? No.
However, her days of freedom are over, and she's back in incarceration again.Speaking of crazy animals, Hunny Bunny and my cat Rhapsody are good friends now. At least, they seem to enjoy antagonizing each other in a nice, friendly sort of way. Here's Rhapsody on the neighbor's squirrel feeder. I don't think she's going to catch any squirrels this way.
Crazy rabbit. Crazy cat. They do fit in well with this family, though, don't they?!

Did you ever watch Bugs Bunny when you were little? Elmer Fud used to always refer to him as "cwazy wabbit"! When I read your comment on Hunny Bunny being a crazy rabbit, it made me think of that,LOL:) Silly pets, they always want to get away! They have it all, and yet they run. I had two beautiful cats, a brother and sister. The boy would bolt every time the door would open up, the girl would never try it though. Ultimately that's what made him sick, he got into a fight with another animal outside somewhere. Both my kitty's had to be put to sleep about 2 years ago :( I still miss them sometimes. Not the litter box though, LOL!
Glad your bunny was found. Love all those great vegies, home grown is so much more yummy:)
I am so glad hunny bunny returned! The thought of something happening to her...don't want to think about it.
Glad you found the bunny!
I'm glad you found her!
Silly Wabbit...
I laughed out loud when I read your post...I imagined you yelling Hunny Bunny and Andy sneaking around like Elmer Fudd looking for that "wascally wabbit!" :)
Your entire family is fun and crazy.....Just the way I like them, and just the way we Kahues all are! :) Ha!
Thanks for funny posts like this. I needed it today. Ha!...Love, Angie
Your post had me giggling - I had rabbits as a child and it seemed like they were always somehow getting out of their pen - glad she's home safe and sound!
