Aches and Pains

Although complaining about the weather here in the Frigid North is one of my favorite past times, I don't usually consider myself a "complaining" person. Generally my personality is a bit "go with the flow", and I don't get too ruffled about anything (- I think; one is always a bit biased when one is diagnosing one's own character traits!)

So, that is the main reason that I've never mentioned recurring weakness/pains that I've had in my legs. I've had this "thing" since I was a young child, but doctors have never been able to diagnose my ailment. (I don't want to get too detailed about my aches and pains, but suffice it to say that when I do have a "flare-up", they're quite painful, and the after affects cause a loss of muscle strength that I find very frustrating, considering how hard I've been working at the gym to get stronger.)

During the last two months, I've noticed a marked increase in "flare-ups", and I've had almost constant pain in one or both legs. Handyman and I were finally able to get health insurance, so I'm planning to start utilizing it by going to an appointment with my doctor today to get the ball rolling so that we can finally find a diagnosis.

I'd really appreciate your prayers for me. I'm a bit scared to be taking this step, since ignoring the pain and continuing on as usual is a much easier path for me to take.

I am so sorry that you are in pain but am happy you are finally able to see someone about it. You may want to see a rheumatologist, too. She was the one that finally diagnosed me. Love you!

Good for you, for taking that first step to make an appt. I know sometimes it's the hardest thing to do. I hope they figure out what it is.

Will most certainly be praying for you! I am the type to want to just ignore it and push on past the pain or uncomfortableness too... ... I'm glad you're going to be able to get some help and hopefully some clear direction.
