. . . that sounds rather naughty and vaguely disturbing, doesn't it?
Handyman has been hard at work on our window seat/bench, and slowly but surely it's getting done. He can't do it all at one time, because it takes a day for each coat of varnishy-stain stuff to dry. (I am an expert carpenter, can you tell?)
I'm very excited about this for several reasons. First of all, it's starting to look shiny, and like most women, I'm easily distracted by shiny things.
Secondly, there's wonderful storage. This little nook is going to hold books.
This little nook is supposed to hold toys. There's two of them, and I'm debating using one for each of the kids if they're annoying me. I must remember to ask Handyman to put a latch on the outside . . .
Just kidding, just kidding! I wouldn't ever lock my children up in a window seat!
(That's what their room is for.)

Handyman does NICE WORK! It's awesome! Are you going to put a few comfy pillows on top? Just curious... :) Enjoy!
Ooooo! I love your new bench! And you're right, love that shine... Are you going to put a cushion or pillows on it? The woodwork is really top notch, good job Handyman!

I knew there was something awesome about that guy... Did you mention you could throw Handyman in there and lock it from the outside?
Gorgeous bench...Now, I look forward to the cushions that I am sure you are going to make! Love the storage! If you can't find Banna, she may be in there...it's large enough to fit your whole family! :) Good job, Handy Andy.
Love it. So beautiful!
Love the dark stain and wainscoting as well! Matches your home's original woodwork perfectly.
