Spring Pictures

We're too cheap to hire a "real" photographer, so every so often we pack up the kids and go to some nice little spot and start firing away with the camera, in the hope that eventually one of the pictures will come out decent with a snot-minus smile.

I was fairly pleased with the results. I prefer outdoor shots over studio photos, since I rather like the more natural setting and less "canned" results. (I mean really, NO family looks that happy all in one direction in real life).

When you're trying to get a decent photo of three children at once, the odds of capturing a "moment" go down in a rapidly spiraling descent of impending doom. We finally settled on two photos, in which two of the kids look slightly-less-than-miserable, and Gabe is only partly being suffocated.

Success is a relative measurement.

(Oh, if you'd like to view the pictures in a larger format, just click on the slide show).

They turned out great! They looks so cute! I don't like studio pics either. We prefer to do our own too - out in nature.

Love them all!! They came out great. Peter is so handsome w/ those glasses, Breanna has such a beautiful dress on (that I'm sure Mommy made, right?), and Gabe is growing up so fast!!!! I love his little tie. :) You have such beautiful children -- can't believe how fast they grow up.

Your pictures are wonderful! It is a challenge to get them all to look at the camera and smile at the same time, but you managed very well:)
