An Evening Out

Handyman and I got to go on a date the other night to hang out with some friends and hear a local band play some classic rock music. The first band we heard was really very good, and I enjoyed listening to music that I was somewhat familiar with. (Anything newer than the 18th century is unfamiliar to me. Opera, anyone?)

Even though the outdoor event was hosted by a local bar, there were a lot of little girls there as well due to the rumor that had been circulating all that week that Miley Cyrus was going to make a surprise guest appearance during the course of the evening.
Even though that rumor did prove to be false, the Extreme Makeover Home Edition band played some music once the first band finished up. Handyman and I left shortly after they began playing, because I just couldn't take the noise. I suppose the band wasn't all that bad, but their sound technician was decidedly drunk, and after ten minutes of hearing a microphone reverberate, my nerves were stretched to their breaking point. Two drinks can only help so much, after all!

hahahaha....opera anyone? (that cracks me up Rach!) but how cute you look on your date night! I'm glad that you both were able to get out and enjoy a date night, in spite of the lack of noise filtration on the mic...maybe 3 drinks would've helped?? :)

Yes, there is only so much drunken rock music one can take. Hope you had a nice time, though...Glad you were both able to go on a date...Mike and I will be celebrating our 6th anniversary this weekend. We need a nice date night. :)

Fun Fun!! I too can handle only so much loud music. We go infrequently to hear friends play. Have one drink listen to 2 sets and than home to bed. :) K
