Peter's good friend Henry had a birthday party, and we all headed North to attend. It was a beautiful day, and the kids were quite thrilled to be able to cook their own lunch. There is something about the primal nature of fire that appeals to kids of all ages (I have this mental image of Tom Hanks declaring proudly, "I HAVE MADE FIRE!!"
They played a few structured games (Sharks and Minnows was hilarious to watch) and then anarchy ruled the day and they pulled out their Nerf guns and headed to the woods.
Finally it was time for presents and then I had to head back home with several tired but very happy children in tow!

Got to love kids bday party...chaos can be fun when it's at someone else's house. :)
