Miss Boo's Boo-boo

Last Sunday night I was working in the kitchen, when I heard a bang, a scream, a cry, and then Handyman saying in a forced-sort-of-calm voice, "Boo, you need to get off the carpet because you're getting blood all over it".

Somehow (we have yet to discover exactly how this happened) she intended to sit on the couch, fell off, and hit her chin.

Hard.

Very, very hard.

Generally our family is a bit lassiez faire about bumps and bruises and copious amounts of blood.  Handyman is a product of 7 brothers and I once wanted to be a surgeon, which means that most injuries get the response of, "Don't worry, you'll be fine.  Here, have a popsicle."

This however, seemed a bit more serious than usual and something that a Band-aid or large amounts of duct tape wouldn't cure.

A very late night at the Emergency Room and four stitches later, she was practically back to normal.

Well, as normal as she is likely to ever be . . .

She is eagerly awaiting any and all condolence cards and calls.

LOVE the cross eyed picture! Her stitches look really good. I'm glad it wasn't more severe. The way you write always makes me smile. I hope the whole event wasn't too traumatic on everyone! Feel better soon Miss Boo!! You tough girl! ;)
