Christmas with the Leverton Clan

Last Saturday we got together with the rest of the Leverton Clan to Celebrate Christmas. Of course, due to Leverton tradition, Christmas is all about - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

FOOTBALL! I can't believe how nice the weather was! Usually the males (i.e. Neanderthals) have to play football outside in the snow, but this year, they didn't have to suffer through such horrible weather. We Leverton women like to deride our men for such errant stupidity as to play football in the snow, but this year we were deprived of our favorite pasttime. Ah well!

Here's my grand hubby after playing too much . . . .

We did a name swap for gifts, and what nice, original presents we got! I got some awesome hardback books (Polgara the Sorceress, The Belgariad parts I and II) and two candles from Mike. Andy got a really funny, handmade card from his brother, Josh and a "salary" for managing Josh's fantasy football team while Josh was away at college.

Breanna received the most wonderful cloth teapot set! The teapot, cups, plates, spoons, and food are all made from fabric! I can't wait till she's old enough to really enjoy it. I plan to bring my daughter up right - we will definitely be tea drinkers!

Peter got some toy cars and delicious chocolate covered pretzels, courtesy of Mahaela. She made the pretzels herself!

We all had so much fun getting together. Andy really has a nice family.

On Monday, we caught a flight down to South Carolina, so that's where we are right now. Today we might go to some yarn shops . . . . . Yippee!

Merry Christmas! Funny to see some of the clan dressed in shorts! It's been unseasonably warm here too!
