Christmas Fun

Sorry that I haven't been posting much these last few days. I am still in South Carolina with my family, and we are so busy having fun, it's been difficult to find the time to sit down!My dad's birthday was earlier this month, so he got a belated birthday present. I knitted him a hat in Clemson Orange, and also gave him a large candle. I'm not sure he liked the hat, though. I think I should have knitted it in the Carolina Panthers colors, instead. Orange looks too much like a hunting cap! Ah well, at least he'll be easy to spot!Christmas was quite exciting, and very chaotic - just how I like it! My sisters Angie and Lynn came up from Atlanta with their men (hee, hee!), and we opened presents. I think my mom really liked her "Icky Green Sweater", and my aunt got a matching brown one.
It was quite fun hanging out with my sisters again, especially because I don't get to see them all that often. Lynn and I banged through a couple of duets, and Angie and I got to spend some quality time knitting and crochetting. (Angie made the most incredible, self-designed afghan for her son.)My sister also received knitted socks for her birthday, which was on Thursday. We all celebrated her birthday by going out to eat at a Chinese restaurant, and getting our nails done (that is, we gals did; the guys played disc-golf).Oh, if you've been wondering what my husband was working on (mentioned in an earlier post), here it is! My mom is Dutch, so for Christmas he crafted a windmill for her garden. It's HUGE! We lugged that dumb three-foot-tall contraption on the airplane. He had to re-assemble it when we got here, but he was able to get it done in time. He put a spinning thingy in it and everything! (Do you like my techinical carpentry language?)Happy New Years to everyone!

I absolutely love the pics on your blog. Stealing them now! :) You will see some of them on my blog. Check it out soon. I truly had an awesome time visiting with all of you, especially the nice time we had chatting and shopping. I was a bit under the weather, so sorry if I was kinda out of it. I am starting to get out of the fog and I think I am feeling better from my cold...but it keeps fluctuating. I feel great one minute and like poopoo the next. Well, I hope you all are feeling well and enjoy the rest of your stay with Mom and Dad. Tell Andy the windmill is AWESOME! I hope Mom loved it. It was SO nice and sweet of him to construct such a wonderful gift!!!
