One afternoon while I was in Greenville, my sweet mum watched the babies for me so Andy and I could do a bit of shopping. After my earlier yarn store disappointments, I wasn't all that eager to try another store, but my courage rose, and I ventured forth. With Andy in tow (poor man) I found The NeedleTree. It was a bit pricey, I think, but the yarns they had were exquisite. What's more, there were lots of completed projects hanging on the walls to inspire me to buy stuff. I think I went a bit overboard, but I am so in love with the yarns I bought. Want to know what I got?
One skein of Sockotta yarn, which I have to knit up into socks in a week and a half for - um - "something" (being vague on purpose). I've heard about this yarn, but was hesitant to buy it online until I could see it and feel it for myself. I think it should knit up into nice, comfy socks, and the color is very nice.
Thanks also to all the nice people who posted on my Rants and Raves. I have looked up all the places recommended by other knitters, and I will definitely try out some of the suggestions. Thanks so much for lifting my spirits!

I'm so glad that you found a nice shop to splurge and get some fun stuff to indulge in! Sounds wonderful. Post about it all so we can share it together. Glad you had a safe trip home. Things'll get in order, just don't focus on the whole mess at once. Do one thing at a time. Your house will be so happy you're home it'll give you a big cozy hug!
Those are some nice stash additions. So good to be back home! I hope the self-cleaning house comes out soon.
Don't you just feel at home when you walk into a really nice yarn shop? I wish we all had lovely, inspiring yarn shops in our towns....but, sadly, we don't. (I do and almost feel guilty about it)
YEAH!!! You found a yarn shop. I am so glad. I know how disappointing all that can be when you want to start a great project. I love the yarn. I was in Michael's for almost an hour scheming upcoming craft projects. I think I found a new "hobby." I'll let you know how it all turns out. I also plan to finish up some scrapbooking projects that are hanging around. My new camera re-charger is MIA, so I am looking on line for a docking station. This means no blogs for a little while...unless I have a rant or rave to bring up. :) Love all of you...stay warm and knit away! --Angie
