Too Many Vampire Movies

This year was the first time that I participated in the mass mania known as "Black Friday", and let me assure you, it was a very, very weird experience.I like getting bargains, but I'm not a true "bargain shopper", so getting up at 5:15 to go shopping is NOT my idea of entertainment. However, when it comes to getting a Cricut for $99, I will make an exception. So, after spending a sleepless night (due to my anticipation), I groggily hopped in my car and headed to JoAnn's. I figured I'd be the only stupid person there -Heh heh.

I was the second person to get there, and as I waited, denizens of the underworld came crawling out of their cars to join me in a shivering lineup. It was like being in some sort of bizarre vampire scene. (Remember, I was sleep-deprived, and apparently everyone else was, too).

Finally, the brave JoAnn's employees opened the doors, barely escaping the stampede that ensued. Having gotten inside information on exactly where the cricuts were being stashed, I made a quick bee-line to that area and snagged . . .. . . four cricuts.

Four. (One for me, one for my sister, one for Flip Floppin' Mama because she had a cold and couldn't get out of bed, and one to sell on Ebay.)

Within 20 seconds, all 8 cricuts were snagged. I couldn't believe it. As I stood in line to pay for my booty, I kept a protective arm around my precious cargo. Getting to the car was even more bizarre, because I kept expecting to be jumped at any moment by some avid scrapbook crafter.I can just see the headlines: "Local Mom is Mugged in Parking Lot for her Cricuts."

Boo! Hiss! Instead of letting someone else buy one at that super-duper price, you had to get one to sell on Ebay? I wish people would stop doing that.
Other than that, have a Merry Christmas! :)

Well, I have NO IDEA what a cricut (or however you spell it) is. But yay for you. I love Black Friday shopping, but never have anyone to watch the kids as my hubby usually has to open the store that day. Bet you will go out next year and do it again for a deal that good. And smart thinking to make a little $$ on ebay. :-)
