Tropicana

I'm still working on my Frigid North ensemble, but I couldn't help casting on (yet another) little knitted thing for myself.
It's a lovely lace camisole (Tropicana) knitted from sock weight yarn. The yarn I picked up last year at the annual Fibre Arts Fair, and it's some lovely hand dyed stuff from Sandy's Palette. It looks like I'll have two skeins left over when I'm finished this camisole, so I can make matching socks, ha ha!

I'm knitting like a fiend to get this done, the result being that I've had to wear a wrist brace for the past several days.

Wearing a wrist brace is rather humiliating. People see it and inquire with concerned expressions if I've injured myself from falling on the ice, rescuing a child from grave injury, beating the snot out of Handyman, or other sundry natural causes.

It's very deflating when I have to sheepishly admit that I am wearing a wrist brace because I knit too much.

(How I suffer for my art.)

I love the color...It's normally something I see you in, so how fun! You must get a picture of you in it. Sorry about the brace. I hope it doesn't hurt too much.
