Day 2 in Hawaii

This morning, we headed to Kam Swap Meet in Aiea, which is not to be confused with the more famous Aloha SwapMeet. Kam Swap Meet is more like a big garage sale.

You can find all sorts of interesting things there . . . .
My main goal was to get a dozen few orchids to take back home.

I resisted the urge to buy everything and only bought two orchids (a cattleya and a dendrobium) for $13!

Peter had some birthday money to spend, and he bought a pair of National Geographic flippers (“flippahs” in Hawaiian pidgin) for only $5!

After we finished at the Swap Meet we headed back to the cabin to spend a little time on the beach.
